As a car dealership, having pictures of your vehicles online as soon as they are available is key. To give you a precise understanding of the stage of a specific VIN and its different images, we completely reviewed our images' status so you know what's going on and if any action on your side is needed.
Here is a walkthrough of the complete new image lifecycle on app.
Home screen overview
The status displayed on the home page will always reflect the least advanced status from the following hierarchy:
- Error (includes network error, image cannot be processed and system is offline. Those errors are described below.),
- Reshoot Image,
- 0/15 Images (grey, indicating incomplete status)
- Uploading
- Processing
- AI Results
- Final Result
We will describe all those statuses below.
The logic used to determine the displayed status is as follows:
- Are there one or more images in this order with an error status? If yes, the home page will display “Error.”
- Are there one or more images in this order with a reshoot status? If yes, the home page will display “Reshoot Image.”
- if none of the above, the next status in the hierarchy is displayed.
This logic ensures that the “Final Result” status is only displayed when all images in the order are marked as final results.
Order screen Overview
After opening an order, images will be grouped on the Order Page according to their status, as follows:
1. Attention Required
- All error types
- Reshoot image
2. In progress
- Uploading
- Processing
- AI Result
- Retouching
3. To Shoot
- No image
4. Completed
- Final results
Status overview
1. Vehicle created
There is no icon, only the ghosts of a car representing the views required for the selected guideline.
An order has been created with a specific VIN, but the pictures are missing.
If you press on a vehicle with not any picture taken from the homepage, the camera will open first with the first view to shoot.
2. Uploading
A blue cloud with an up arrow icon appears in the top-left corner.
A picture was captured for this orientation, and it is currently uploaded to our system.
This stage will only take a few secs if you have a good network.
3. Processing
A blue magic wand icon appears in the top-left corner.
The image has been received and has entered our processing pipeline (our AI is doing its magic).
4. AI result is available
A single green checkmark appears in the top-left corner.
The image has been processed, and the AI result has been uploaded to the app.
This status is only for clients with Quality Check enabled. This means this image might not be the final one as our team is controlling its quality and applying manual retouch to it if needed.
5. Final editing in progress
A green paintbrush appears in the top-left corner.
The image has been processed, and the AI result has been uploaded to the app.
Our quality team flagged some minor flaws to be corrected manually, and correction is currently being performed.
This status is only for clients with a quality check option. This image might not be the final one.
6. Recommendation to reshoot image
An orange camera appears in the top-left corner.
The image has been processed, and the AI result has been uploaded to the app.
The taken image didn’t meet our requirements to provide a good result and can’t be manually edited. App user has the choice to reshoot the image or to ignore. Ignore will then turn this image as the final result.
This status is only for clients with a quality check option.
7. Final result
A green double checkmarks appears in the top-left corner.
This is your final image!
If you have the quality check option, our quality team has reviewed your image (within 5h after it has been processed by our algorithm), or it has been retouched manually (within 24h after it has been processed by our algorithm), or you ignored the “reshoot” suggestion.
8. Network Error
A red exclamation mark appears in the top-left corner.
Due to poor internet connection, we couldn’t upload your image. Check your internet connection and try again.
9. Image can’t be processed
A red exclamation mark appears in the top-left corner.
The image was impossible to process on our side. Our AI couldn’t recognize a car. You can reach out to the support for more information.
