Battery drainage

At CarCutter we take customer feedback about overheating devices and draining batteries seriously. That’s why we conducted several tests comparing native camera, competitors' solution and CarCutter app to see if it could use abnormally your phone battery. 

We concluded that our solution doesn't cause more phone battery drainage than using the native camera or another solution under the same conditions. However, it is possible that your battery decrease significantly after a long session of using the CarCutter application. The same would apply if you were using your camera intensively for the same amount of time.

How to prevent battery drainage? 

To prevent any battery drainage of your phone while using our solution, make sure you are using it in the best conditions: 

• make sure your phone system is updated to its latest version, 
• update CarCutter application to its latest version,
• close any unnecessary application running in the background of your phone,
• turn off the Bluetooth,
• use an external battery.

By following those good practices, you will make sure to prevent any battery overconsumption.

Complementary actions if your battery power is particularly low. 

Here are some complimentary steps you can take if you feel that your phone is using up battery life too quickly:

• reduce screen brightness,
• turn on airplane mode,
• switch to power saving mode,

Try to use these actions as a last resort, as they may affect your experience with the CarCutter app.
